MEMBER CO-OP MATCH PROGRAM, FEEDING OUR COMMUNITIES

WESTCO and the Land O’Lakes Foundation have strengthened their commitment to fighting hunger with $40,000 in donations to local food pantries across Nebraska and Wyoming. Each of the following organizations received a $10,000 contribution: Crawford Food Pantry, Hemingford Food Pantry, Sharing & Caring Neighbors in Hay Springs, NE, and Land of Goshen Ministries in Torrington, WY.

The donations were made possible through the Land O’Lakes Foundation’s Member Co-op Match Program, Feeding Our Communities, which focuses on alleviating hunger in rural America. The program matches dollar-for-dollar the cash donations of member cooperatives, effectively doubling the impact of local giving.

“Land O’Lakes is pleased to support communities where our members, employees, and facilities are located,” said Morgan Kinross-Wright, Executive Director of the Land O’Lakes Foundation.

WESTCO General Manager David Briggs added, “WESTCO is proud to once again partner with Land O’Lakes in supporting food pantries across our trade area. From Crawford to Hemingford, Hay Springs to Torrington, these organizations provide essential services to individuals and families in need.”
